I always work with wet hair, and use spray gel and a comb to make this heart hair look smooth. You can view all of our favorite products here if you are interested in what we use. I used the middle section of hair since my 2 year old’s sides are shorter than the top and back. Then I sprayed it with gel, and sectioned it off. If you follow these steps, you get a tighter hold. You’ll also have less fly aways with wet hair and spray gel. Toddler have a lot of baby hair and fly away hair so this step is important!
Curls for the Heart Hairstyle
To achieve the curls in this heart hair tutorial, I would suggest using a curling wand! We have the hot tools tapered wand and a good heat protectant spray.
